Jak Alnwick and Lee Novak visit Degree students at Glanford Park
Goalkeeper Jak Alnwick and striker Lee Novak have both visited the SUFC Trust’s degree students in the Study Centre at Glanford Park.
The first team players visited the six students in attendance on the day and learnt more about the partnership between the EFL Trust and the University of South Wales.
The course sees the students, who have already completed a Futsal scholarship with us, study for a Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development here at Glanford Park, in association with the SUFC Trust.
During the course, they develop the necessary skills and qualities required for a career in football or other sport based roles and receive individualised mentoring from UEFA / FA qualified coaches and coach educators.
They also get the opportunity to gain an FA Level 2 Football Coaching certificate and to complete up to 200 hours of work-based coaching through Scunthorpe United Community Sport and Education Trust.
The course covers a range of topics including children and youth coaching, social inclusion and sports management skills.
