Gain a university level qualification with Scunthorpe United

James Moody Degree, News 2018-19, Futsal, March 2019, SUFC Futsal

Applications are open for you to study a Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development here at Glanford Park, in association with the SUFC Trust.

Gain a university level qualification at the home of the Iron, with lectures, seminars and tutorials delivered at Glanford Park via online material from the University of South Wales.

A successful applicant will develop the necessary skills and qualities required for a career in football or other sport based roles and receive individualised mentoring from UEFA / FA qualified coaches and coach educators.

It will also be an opportunity to gain an FA Level 2 Football Coaching certificate and to complete up to 200 hours of work-based coaching through Scunthorpe United Community Sport and Education Trust.

The course will cover a range of topics including children and youth coaching, social inclusion and sports management skills.

To apply, candidates must have a minimum of 64 UCAS points, an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and a minimum of three GCSEs, including English and Maths.

Qualified candidates who have studied with the SUFC Trust previously have gone onto study full BSc (Hons) degrees, moved onto job opportunities in coaching both in the UK and overseas, while the qualification can also open a number of career opportunities within the sports industry.
