Levi Sutton awarded SUFC Trust’s PFA Community Champion of the Year
Midfielder Levi Sutton has been awarded the Trust’s PFA Community Champion of the Year award.
The accolade comes after his hard work and dedication both on and off the pitch, with the Community Champion aspect of the award focusing on what professional footballers do in partnership with the SUFC Trust.
Levi has attended a number of visits over the course of the campaign, including trips to local schools, the holiday soccer camps and more.
Gav Cooper, presenting the award, said: “A big thank you to Levi for taking the time during the course of the season to visit a number of our schemes and projects.
“The SUFC Trust’s school programmes and soccer courses provides a clear link between the community and the football club and we’re delighted the first team players have continued to be on board as we’ve reached our record number of visits in terms of player participation over the course of the 2018-19 season.
“We felt Levi has gone above and beyond with this, not just during this campaign, but in previous years as well and is more than deserving to be our Community Champion for the season.
“It’s important to note, we are very grateful to all the professional footballers at Scunthorpe United for their support this season and hope this will continue going forward into 2019-20, starting with our summer soccer courses when they get underway in late-July.”
