Festive multi-sport courses conclude with Santa visit!

James Moody Uncategorised

After day one with the Scunthorpe United manager and day two with a visit from three first team players, we concluded our three-day festive courses with a visit from Santa!

The Premier League’s Charitable Fund and Barclays had provided funding for three days of courses, which also included a FREE lunch for the participants. All three days swiftly sold out.

Santa came towards last part of the day, as the children – aged between six and 13 – came towards the end of their activities, which involved much more than just football. After a muddy day outside, it was into the sports hall for the medal presentation and a socially distanced photo before small groups of penalty shootouts with Santa in goal himself.

As always, a massive thank you to Bottesford Town Football Club for the use of their facilities and for their collaboration with these three events in the run up to Christmas.
