Further calls made by Iron quintet

Off the back of some of the Iron players and Neil Cox making phone calls prior to Christmas, five more picked up the phone on Thursday afternoon to have a conversation with fans.

All of the people selected for calls were nominated for the Zoom call prior to the festive break, with a number of supporters put forward by friends, relatives and carers to receive the surprise call.

First team manager Neil Cox spoke to some of those nominations on Christmas Eve, but was keen for as many of the nominations to be contacted as possible, with all of them kept on record.

Assistant manager Mark Lillis, Abo Eisa, Jem Karacan, George Taft and Harrison McGahey all picked up the phone to speak to the fans after training on Thursday, with the side gearing up to face Morecambe. The quintet provided a boost to several 12th Man holders who haven’t been able to attend matches for around 11 months.
