Gilliead and Colclough visit new SUFC Futsal scholars

James Moody Futsal, News, Player Visit, Player Visit - Futsal

Iron duo Alex Gilliead and Ryan Colclough both visited the new Futsal scholars at Bottesford Sports Hall last Thursday, as they settle in following the start of the academic year.

Both attacking players took time following training to get to know a little bit more about the course and get involved during the training session as the new scholars began to learn the processes and positions in Futsal.

Futsal Scholarship Manager Gav Cooper said: “A big thank you to Alex and Ryan for taking time following training to come and visit the new scholars who have just joined the course.

“It’s great to see the link between the football club and the Trust continues to flourish with a number of visits over the summer and this has been extended to our Futsal programme in the first week of the new academic year.

“The two lads that came across were enthusiastic and keen to learn about the course and more about Futsal itself and have given the new scholars an early boost.

“With some of the lads Scunthorpe United fans, it’s also great for them as they get to meet the players up close and, on this occasion, allowed to play alongside or against Ryan and Alex in the mini matches in training.”
