Support our scholars in 2021-22 and beyond

James Moody Football, News 2021-22, Football, July 2021

The Trust are on the lookout for a number of local businesses who are willing to make a financial contribution towards our scholars which will benefit our scholars next season and beyond.

As it stands, a huge chunk of the funding for our players goes on the travel provisions when our sides play away from home, and with plans to extend our programme and have three teams in 2021-22, those travel costs will only increase.

A prospective Travel Sponsor(s) would come on board and help fund those travels, with the Trust aiming to use the money to purchase a minibus rather than hiring one. This would enable us to get transfers put onto the vehicle including your company logo to thank you for your support, while a number of social media posts and graphics will be put out over the course of the year.

Education Manager Gav Cooper said: “The football aspect of our course is a vitally importance component to the scholarship, but it has seen us travel long distances over the course of last season.

“All of this comes as a massive cost to the Trust, and we’ve been incredibly grateful for the number of contributions we’ve had in the past, including Bella Properties and Tyto Law Solicitors who have both committed to sponsoring the match shirts over the last four years.

“Virtually all of our scholars are from the local area and are on the next step of their educational progression ladder, and it would be fantastic to couple that with some local businesses who are willing to make a contribution to support them.

“Our social media presence have grown, with the use of graphics, GIFs and other things, and we’d look to give as much exposure to any business supporting us as possible.”

If you’re interested in making a contribution, or becoming one of our Travel Sponsors, please email g.cooper@scunthorpe-united.co.uk.
