Apply to study with us from September 2022!

James Moody News 2021-22

Gain a college level qualification with Scunthorpe United from September 2022.

Get on the road to professional football with our new course for school leavers Scunthorpe United Football and Education Scholarship in partnership with SUFC Academy and North Lindsey College.

Applications are open for you to study a NCFE Level Three Extended Diploma in Sport & Physical Activity (Sports Coaching) here at the Sands Venue Stadium.

Gain a college level qualification at the home of the Iron, with lessons and tutorials delivered at the Sands Venue Stadium in association with North Lindsey College.

The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity is designed as a full, two-year programme for learners who wish to develop their skills and knowledge of the sector. The qualification is designed for learners who want to go on to higher level studies with the opportunity to progress towards professional football. It will give learners skills, knowledge and an understanding of the sport and physical activity sector.

The third aspect to the course, work experience in the industry, has also seen a number of former scholars progress to work within sport, while the diploma has also opened the door to various university courses for others.

A successful applicant will gain the skills required to perform a particular job, or qualifications that may be taken as part of a wider study programme or an apprenticeship.

To apply, candidates must have a minimum of three GCSEs at Level Four or above, including English and Maths and an interest towards playing regular football.

Qualified candidates who have studied with the SUFC Trust previously have progressed onto our Foundation Degree at Glanford Park in association with the University of South Wales, apprenticeships in various sectors within sport and physical activity or furthered their education at university.
